It was the night before Christmas, and GAP was quiet indeed
There wasn’t a Greyhound in sight, not even a Rehoming Team Lead
Collars, leads and Christmas stockings had been hung with care,
Because it was that very special time of year…..
The Hounds were all snuggled up warm and cozy in their lovely foster homes,
While Lynsey, Tania, Kate, and Lisa get a break from answering their phones
And Alastair, GAP’s General Manager Extraordinaire,
Is enjoying a holiday after a busy year
Dawn and her team of volunteers are spending some down time,
Because the work they’ve done this year has been sublime
Lisa has been wrapping and packing tirelessly which has meant,
That all your Christmas orders have now been sent
Emelia and Riddhi from the Marketing Team,
Will be busy filling their bellies with pud and brandy cream
A big Christmas thank you to all our Board Members,
We hope you enjoy this special time of December
Santa has even adopted his own Greyhound named Nicole,
She’s found her place on a cosy bed in the North Pole
Matt will be enjoying some rest of his own,
After a year of hard work ensuring our hounds have a place to call home
Daniel is dreaming of Christmas dinner,
When it comes to the silly season he is no beginner
Hope and Brenda are enjoying a well deserved break,
To sit back, relax and enjoy some Christmas cake
